Open Water - Kilometer of Tuomiojärvi

Open open water swimming event in Tuomiojärvi. The route is from Tavinsulka Paddling Center to Tuokkari beach and back. The distance is 1080 meters from start to finish with GPS measurement. Taking into account the number of participants, SUP boarders, paddlers, and rowers are protecting the swimming.

Pre-registration by 12 July 2022, at 20:00 on this event page via "Tickets" and "Proceed to pay".

The participation fee is 7 Euros, paid on the spot. We wish to pay in cash, €5 banknote + €2 coin.

Post-registration on site at the event office. Its fee is 10 Euros. We wish to pay in cash, a €10 note.

The participation fee includes: organization, timing, luggage storage, sauna. This is an event, not a competition. We offer   the opportunity to challenge yourself in the company of others, under supervision.

The event office is open on July 14, 2022, from 16:00 to 18:00, when you can pay the participation fee, pick up your starting number, and make post-registrations.

Departure and route instructions for all participants on July 14, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.

There are a limited number of lockers on site. Depending on the number of participants, a separate storage space for the event will be opened for the duration of the event. We hope for one closed bag per participant.

We recommend arriving by bicycle. There is a parking space for cars in the Reikuja parking area, about 250 meters from Melontakeskus.

Departure at 19:00 from the rowing center pier. About 50 meters from the start, you have to turn to the kayak polo field at an angle of 90 degrees to the left, in the direction of Tuokkari beach.

The turning point is the red buoy at the far end of Tuokkari beach, on the left from the direction of arrival. You have to touch the buoy, you don't have to go around it.

ATTENTION: In the vicinity of the start, turning point and finish, the water depth is only 40-80 cm!

Start and finish in the area of round stones in the water, a small amount of aquatic vegetation. The foot crosses the bottom about 10 meters from the end of the pier.

At the turning point, the bottom of the lake is sandy, with a small amount of aquatic vegetation. The foot crosses the bottom about 5 meters from the buoy.

After swimming, the beach sauna is open for participants until 9 p.m. Mixed sauna.
