Paddling season is the whole open water season, beginning in April until November.

The Service Centre is open daily in June, July and August 10am-6pm, and in other times upon agreement.

The shop of paddling gears is open 24/7/365.

The scenery of this route is picturesque. The first half of the tour (Petäjävesi-Jämsänkoski, 55km) passes through small rapids and narrow lakes with slight stream. The tour starts from the Petäjävesi old curch, which is on the UNESCO World Helitage list. Overnights can be in tents, campings or in manors. After Jämsänkoski, the tour enters to äijänne the second largest (1080 sqkm) and the deepest (98 m) lake in Finland, and we turn towards the north. In this section to be found the second UNESCO World Heritage site, a check point of the Struve Geodetic Arc. It is worth crossing the lake and visit the Vaarunvuori Nature Reserve, which represents a unique microclimate in this lattitude.

Daily programme

Day 1: Test paddling and welcome BBQ with visit in a culture-historical site
Day 2:Bicycle tour to Petäjävesi, visit at one of the world's cleanest spring and the UNESCO World Heritage church.
Day 3: Canoeing day. Visit Karikkojärvi, meteorite lake
Day 4: Canoeing and hiking day
Day 5: Bicycle tour, visit at Jämsänkoski
Day 6-7: Days in the NATURE
Day 8: Visit Vaarunvuori Nature reserve and Struve's Geodetic Arc UNESCO site (Possible Exit 1)
Day 9:Paddling on 100m deep water on Lake Päijänne and the place where silence is audible.
Day 10: Visit the birthplace of Jyväskylä
Day 11: Return to the town.

(all inclusive from/to Jyväskylä - canoeing and biking equipment, guide, three meals per day, entrance fees, overnight fees)
